California Gold is composed of crushed granite. We carry 3/8″ and 1/4″. It is golden-brown in color. This gravel is excellent for paths, as its small angular shape allows for good traction. It is sometimes mixed with Gold Path Fines when used for this purpose.
Red Lava is a local volcanic gravel that is a available in four sizes ranging from 1/8″ to 2″. The larger sizes have some purple hues, as well as the typical deep red color. The smaller sizes are often used to ammend soil, and break up clay (such as in our Clodbuster). This lightweight gravel is excellent for succulents.
Ginger Rock is yellowish-gold in color, and is a lightweight gravel. It is also significantly water absorbant. This is often used in landscape designs with tropical, mediterranean, or desert themes. Ginger Rock comes in four sizes, ranging from the 1/8″ Path Fines to the much larger 1.5″-2″ gravel.
